About Brian M Casey

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father is also the same way and I guess you can say like father-like-son. It all started when I was old enough to be trusted to handle the Nikon F2 that has been a part of his collection since he was in High School. I've always been fascinated with cameras. Film is my roots, as we have had a darkroom for as long as I can remember. My father taught me the art of photography on film, and the art of development in the darkroom. I've always had cameras of my own, but nothing more than a P&S until I was about 17 when I bought my own film SLR. Since then I have gone through so many different cameras. I have a collection of old film SLRs. I then worked all summer one year and bought my first d-SLR, the Nikon D200. I am still using that camera to this day and let me tell you it is truly a remarkable piece of equipment. I will be picking up a new camera the beginning of next year (2008). I am getting the new Nikon D3. I want to wait a few months after production to see how QC, and the actual camera performs. My favorite photographers are Steven Meisel, and Ryan Russell. Both are phenomenal photographers, and their work is something I can't take my eyes off of. I am currently in my fourth year at Georgia Tech, in Electrical Engineering. I am a photog for the Georgia Tech Newspaper, The Technique. I am passionate about photography, and love photographing events and people. I mostly shoot concerts, promotional, and portraits. I also love to photograph weddings, and capture all their splendor. I love to take on new and more difficult projects. I work as hard as I can to give the best coverage to each and every project and event.-Brian
